Abstract
Mean Value Engine Models (MVEMs) are dynamic models which describe
dynamic engine variable (or state) responses on time scales
slightly longer than an engine event. This paper describes a new
model of the intake manifold filling dynamics which is simple and
easy to calibrate for use in engine control system design.
