This book on Design for Environmental (DFEu) is an operational handbook for industrialists and students. It is arguing for environmental efforts to be done in product development and it shows the relations between decisions made about the product at the design stage and environmental effects during the life cycle.Design for Environment needs the establishing of a product life cycle model and models of the "meetings" between product and life cycle systems. A procedure for DFEu, related to a general procedure for product development, is presented. Milestone questions, model, methods, and design principles is presented. The book is based upon current research at IKS and The Institute for Product Development.
