Microinjection Molding

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingBook chapterResearchpeer-review

Abstract

The microinjection molding process is the main replication technology for mass manufacture of polymer microcomponents. Micromolding is characterized by the existence of dedicated micromolding machines and a number of process parameters that need to be optimized in order to achieve high-quality process and products. Process control analysis methods, microflow characterization tests, and simulation techniques, as well as the effect of different process parameters on the micromolding results, are discussed. Recommendations for optimized micromolding conditions are presented.
