Abstract
The invention relates to a method of determining localisation and/or velocity information of one or more portable devices, such as cell phones, tablets, laptops, etc. Each of one or more portable devices is intermittently emitting service/acquisition request signals. These signals are simultaneously received by one or more sensors, which observe at least two types of observations relating to the received service/acquisition request signals at each sensor. The method further determines the localisation and/or velocity information by using the at least two types of observations in the same algorithm.
