Abstract
We have identified a common effect pattern for TPO inhibiting chemicals that can alter brain development through thyroid hormone system disruption. This study, and future studies arising from it, will provide a solid foundation for developing new sensitive test methods for the regulation of thyroid hormone system disrupting chemicals. Such methods are critical to enable the regulatory system to protect human brain development from environmental chemicals with thyroid hormone system disrupting properties.
