    Abstract

    Different optimization criteria related to antenna pattern synthesis are discussed. Based on the maximum criteria and vector space representation, a simple and efficient optimization method is presented for array and array fed reflector power pattern synthesis. A sector pattern synthesized by a 20-element linear array and a narrow, sector beam with very strict sidelobe specifications are considered as examples
