Abstract

The results of a study of the magnetic scattering of neutrons in chromium near the Néel temperature are presented. It is deduced from these results that short range ordering persists in chromium unusually high above the Néel temperature, and that the magnetic structure below the Néel temperature can exhibit lower than cubic symmetry.
