Abstract

The properties of lime mortars can be essentially improved by adding fillers to the mortars in an intelligent way. This is shown in the thesis of Thorborg von Konow (1997).The changes in the pore structure and the following changes in properties can be treated by means of the rules in materials mechanics developed by Lauge Fuglsang Nielsen on this institute. The necessary pore characteristics are measured by means of image processing.
