Abstract
In Latvia the caesium-137 contamination from the Chernobyl
accident and from the nuclear weapon tests in the 1960´es is very
low. Conventional techniques for extracting information from the
measured spectra cannot be used here. Therefore a new, sensitive
technique - the pseudo concentration method - was developed, and
maps could be produced for several regions in Latvia measured with
airborne gamma-ray spectrometry in 1996.
