Abstract
This chapter concludes this collection of opportunities, best practices, drivers and case studies that promote continuous improvement in occupational safety, health and wellbeing (OSHW) in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) sector. Instead of being underpinned by problems in the industry, this collection highlights successes, inspiring hope for a safer and healthier future. Several chapters in the book reinforce the notion that accident and ill health causations could be scientifically understood and that there is a moral responsibility to engender preventive measures to better the lives of the workforce. The book shows lessons that must be learnt from focusing on pessimistic OSHW strategies to positive ones. The book’s proposed direction of future research includes examining a glass-half-full strategy for improvement and opportunities in equality, diversity, and inclusion for continuous improvement in OSHW. The findings in the collection will be beneficial to policymakers, academics, industry practitioners and students.
