Abstract

The ability to tailor optical and electronic properties of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) from bulk to two-dimensional (2D) structures has been widely investigated for photonic and optoelectronic applications involving TMDs. Even more opportunities arise when the dimensionality of TMDs is tuned from 2D to 3D van der Waals heterostructures or even 1D.
