Abstract

A short presentation on the factors determining the climate change and other environmental impacts: 1)Population, 2)Affluence and 3)Technology. Pointing out that 1) Population in Europe seems to be declining voluntarily and 2)more affluence seems to provide no improvements in people's satisfaction, and could be replaced with more leisure. But governments are counteracting these trends, relying only on 3)Technological improvements.
