Investigation on the vibration behavior of elastic porous materials for miniaturized systems

Abstract

In this study, we investigate eight kinds of porous materials with different geometric parameters, densities, and porosity, and the influence of these variables on their mechanical behavior is discussed. The vibration behavior of beams made of different porous materials is dynamically characterized using a laser vibrometer, and the mobility data of these porous materials are calculated. This study can be beneficial for finding suitable elastic porous materials for different vibroacoustic applications in miniaturized systems.
