Real Ear Attenuation at Threshold (REAT) was measured on 16 human
test subjects in accordance with EN 24869-1. Insertion loss for
the individual cups was determined in accordance with EN 352-1,
paragraph 7.11-7.11.3.3. Both the REAT and the insertion loss
measurements were performed in an approximated diffuse field. The
field was established in a semi reverberant room with uncorrelated
one-third octave bands of noise from two loudspeakers. The
measurements are part of a European intercomparison project 'Sound
attenuation in accordance with EN-24869-1'.
