    Abstract

This report treats the influence of temperature on autogenous deformation and autogenous relative humidity change in hardening cement pastes. The subject is delt with both theoretically and experimentally.

The theoretical part of this report is mainly based on a contribution to a seminar on Early Volume change and reactions in paste - mortar - concrete held in Trondheim 1996.

The project is carried out in cooperation with Professor Per Freiesleben Hansen in the Department of Building Technology and Structural Engineering at the University of Aalborg. The assistance from professor Ove Ditlevsen of the Technical University of Denmark in the mathematical derivation of equation (6) is gratefully acknowledged. Dr. Anders Nielsen and Dr. Kurt Kielsgaard Hansen both of the Technical University of Denmark are thanked for their kind help and support during the project.
