    Abstract

The aim of this study is to present precise numerical formulation to determine temperature and moisture state of timber in the situation prior pyrolysis. The strong formulations needed for an accurate description of the physics are presented and discussed as well as their coupling terms. From these the weak formulation is deducted. Based on the weak formulation two case studies are conducted. The results of this case is presented.
