Variations in generation of active power and consumption of
reactive power by a wind farm are harmfull to the power quality of
the supplying network.This has been analysed from field
measurements at the 25 MW Rejsby Hede wind farm. An impact on the
power quality is observed, but this impact is minimized when the
reactive power is produced locally by an ASCV - Advanced Static
Var Compensator.A model study has been carried out to see how the
influence from the wind farm evaluates at different short-circuit
capacities of the supplying network.
