Abstract
The Hofmeister effect of NaSCN, NaCl and NaF on poly(propylene oxide) solutions in H2O and D2O is studied. The effect of the solvent substitution is shown to vary for different salts andwe suggest that this is due to a change in the polymer accessible surface area and ion hydration.
