Abstract

Using young rainbow trout (Salmo gairdneri Richardson, 1836) an analytical growth model that can be used in production planning is described. The experiments necessary for parameter estimation are discussed like the experimental design. All terms in the budget have been measured as energy, and comparisons with terms in wet weight have been performed.
