Abstract
The paper describes briefly a series of full-scale tests made as documentation for extending the field of application of the reduced cross section method from the structural codes to constructions based on expanded clay aggregate. As a special result the tests verify that slabs with a short anchorage length of the bottom reinforcement may have a sufficient fire resistance, such as the proposed design methods show on beforehand.
