Abstract
The further deployment of wind energy plays a crucial role for a successful energy transition. As there are repeated protests, especially at local level, with residents who feel negatively affected and disadvantaged by local wind projects, many countries have granted financial participation opportunities, which are intended to have a positive effect on the perceived distributional fairness and acceptance as a compensation measure or as part of an incentive strategy [1].
The current contribution addressees research questions regarding the conditions under which economic participation leads to acceptance effects, especially considering other influencing factors and dependencies [2].
