Abstract
Tele-based information community centres or just tele-centres have
been seen as the killer application to empower local communities
in developed and developing countries to meet the challenges of
the information society. This paper will present a number of
models for introducing such centres and discuss the different
models and national strategies used for setting up tele-based
information in relation to the Ghana experience.
