Abstract
The objective of this study is to develop a model based approach, to be used as decision support tool (DST), to assess capacity liberation /optimization options in a full-scale industrial wastewater treatment system. The proposed DST is fed by plant data (influent characteristics, operational and design conditions) and its prediction capabilities compared with reconciled measurements. The main motivation of the research work is to provide process engineers with more informed decisionrelated removal efficiency, resource recovery and operational cost when running “what-if” scenarios.
