Abstract

Linear voltammetry was used for study of the ligand substitution reactions in the process of titration of FLINAK-KBF4, melt with different oxides. At molar ratio O/B=1 complexes BF4- which are characteristic for oxygenless melt transform into BOF2- Further increasing of O/B ratio up to 2 leads to the formation of borate complexes.BO2- data obtained allowed to explain a difference in the electrochemical behaviour of two sorts of borate compounds - NaBO2 and Na4B4O7 in fluoride melts. Only BO2- species give arise in the melt when NaBO2 dissolve. At the same time both BOF2- and BO2- species coexist in fluoride background melt in the second case.
