abstract = "The present work contains a general recapitulation of the elements of boiling-water-reactor dynamics. The first two chapters are devoted to a qualitative survey of the most important physical effects to be considered, and a review of the proper mathematical tools for a quantitative description. It is attempted to provide a sufficient number of literature references to cover these items in accordance with the advanced student's requirements. In the third chapter a linearized transfer-function model of a cooling channel of a boiling-heavy-water reactor is established. A realistic example is worked through by means of a digital computer and concluded in a set of transfer-function plots. ",
