Abstract

The invention relates to a bacterium deficient in at least two functional genes in the redox pathway; or at least one functional gene in the vitamin B1 synthetic pathway and at least one functional gene in the vitamin B6 pathway. The invention also relates to the bacterium comprising an expression cassette for producing a therapeutic molecule. The invention also relates to a kit with the bacterium and a plasmid; as well as a pharmaceutical formulation comprising the bacterium. The invention also relates to use of the bacterium as a medicament, for example for treating Parkinson's disease.
