Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present the methodology and results of an extension project aimed at disseminating rainwater harvesting techniques to different audiences. For this, it was used an approach based on the application on digital tools for knowledge production and propagation. Firstly, didactic materials were developed, such as technical booklets and presentations. Then, an account on a social network was created aimed at to provide content on this topic. Finally, 10 virtual lectures were held with various themes related to the use of rainwater focused on different target audiences. The activities carried out strongly contributed to the interaction between teaching, research and extension, and highlight the importance of seeking new didactic and digital communication resources in favor of greater access to scientific knowledge to the population.
