    Abstract

This paper describes a mixer circuit for mobile communication systems implemented in a standard 0.25 /spl mu/m CMOS process. The mixer is a passive switching mixer intended for direct downconversion applications with a radio frequency in the order of 2 GHz. A test circuit has been developed and fabricated and measurements show good linearity and noise properties of the experimental circuit.
