    Abstract

The main parts of the work presented here is Part I; which have involved the installation of a Tritium Chemistry Facility for the synthesis of radiolabelled compounds with tritium, and Part II; the development of new tritium labelling methods for peptides. The intention of Part I is to supply background information of radioactivity in general, tritium uses in research and development and in the result section of Part I the installed Hevesy Tritium Facility (HTF) is introduced. One of the overall objectives for this work was investigation of new tritium labelling techniques for peptides. The background and results from this research is presented in Part II and the Appendix I.
