Abstract

With the rapid evolution of wireless communication technologies, the new generation of 6G is already under development, due to the next step-change in performance from Gigabit to Terabit capacities as well as reaching sub-millisecond response time. For example, 6G connectivity is expected to support speeds of one Terabyte per second. This level of capacity and latency will be in support of increasing demand in the areas of wireless cognition, detection and imaging. The 6G connection strategy is made to cope with the major traffic growth, especially in a crowded area, e.g., under holiday celebration. However, without a proper connection strategy, an attacker can cause the traffic jam to one or more nodes in a 6G network. In this work, we consider the benefits of blockchain, and showcase a practical implementation of blockchain-enabled connection strategy for 6G, where telecom companies can use in order to provide the best connection experience and robustness for each device through connection strategies deployed on the chain. We also implement an Android application on mobile devices to demonstrate the viability of our approach.
