Abstract
The goal of this study is to design and optimize structures and devices that are subjected to acoustic waves. Examples are acoustic
lenses, sound walls, waveguides and loud speakers. We formulate the design problem as a topology optimization problem, i.e. distribute
material in a design domain such that the acoustic response is optimized.
