Design of a Phononic-Fluidic Cavity Sensor: Influence of Finite Size Lattice on Sensor Performance

Abstract

This paper presents a study how a finite size of a phononic crystal lattice influences on performance of a phononic-fluidic cavity sensor. In our work, we established finite element models of a semi-infinite and finite geometry of a sensor. As a result, we demonstrated how we can reduce the influence of a finite size lattice on sensor performance.
