    Abstract

Fatigue loads and extreme loads are calculated for the NM750-175/44 wind turbine sited in Cameron Ridge, California, USA. The loads are calculated assuming two wind vector slopes: 20º and 30º. The loads are compared to the original design load basis from the document C1100-426 rev. B.

The fatigue loads for the two sites are compared as life time equivalent loads. For all the sensors-except edgewise bending moment with 30º wind vector slope-the fatigue loads are smaller than the original design loads.

The extreme loads for the two sites are estimated as the maximum load occuring in the simulated time series. Four loads in the 30º wind vector slope case-edge moment, shaft bending moment(Mzr), yaw moment fixed and axial tower moment-are higher for the Cameron Ridge site than for the original design basis.
