Abstract
At the Technical University of Denmark new and larger departments have been established by merging of former smaller departments. The Department of Manufacturing Engineering and Management is a result of this process. The present paper outlines a development project with the aim of turning the merging departments into one single department with common mission, values and visions. An important part of this development process is the creation of a new educational profile – in form as well as content. The paper reveals some of the thoughts behind this ongoing process.
