Abstract
Densities and kinematic viscosities have been measured for the
system benzene + methyl formate at 20°C and for the systems
benzene + ethyl formate, benzene + propyl formate, and benzene +
butyl formate from 20°C to 50°C. The results for the system
benzene + methyl formate have been correlated using a
Redlich-Kister type of expression with temperature-independent
parameters and the data for the systems benzene + ethyl formate,
benzene + propyl formate, and benzene + butyl formate with
temperature-dependent parameters. The viscosities have furthermore
been compared to values predicted by means of the GC-UNIMOD model.
