Abstract

A new type of gasifier has been invented at the Technical University of Denmark, the Vortex gasifier. This gasifier is a staged gasifier in one unit. Hereby this type combines a simple construction with a very low tar content in the producer gas. The gasifier has been modelled in a stationary computer model to calculate the energy conversion efficiencies amongst other outputs.
