    Abstract

This paper introduces a method for visualizing existing preventive maintenance actions and their performance. The current literature focuses on the mathematical evaluation of preventive maintenance actions but lacks a connection to available historical data. By utilizing historical data and policy knowledge already available in the company, the proposed methodology enables maintenance managers to make data-driven decisions. The method is applied in an offshore oil and gas company. Currently, the company tracks their preventive maintenance policies in separate document for each system. By implementing the method, it was possible to create an overview of the preventive maintenance policies described in the separate documents. This was combined with historical data to give an overview of preventive maintenance performance that was not available before.
