N2 - A method is developed which determines the life time of cracked linear viscoelastic materials subjected to dead-, ramp- and combined loading. Two failure criteria are used. 1) Failure is the state where cracks start propagating. 2) Failure is the state where the rate of crack propagation increases catastrophicly - leaving no load capacity back.
