Abstract
Scattered reporting in the litterature describes a number of
ternary Ni-P-X alloyes (where X can be Co, Cr, Cu, Mo, Pd, Re or
W) with promising corrosin and wear protective performance. Based
on a systematic study of Ni-P-X alloys it is the intention to
produce coatings with improved corrosion and wear performance
compared with conventional coatings like electroless nickel, hard
chromioum and anodised aluminium.
