    Abstract

The authors regret that this paper gives the wrong impression that it was John Asmussen who originally derived the relationship between the random decrement signature using the general triggering condition and the autocorrelation function, see Equation (10). Let it be known that it was Rune Brincker, Steen Krenk, Poul Henning Kirkegaard, and Anders Rytter who first presented this result. See reference [25] in the paper. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
