    Abstract

Thermal comfort has great importance for energy conservation in buildings and also for the satisfaction and performance of users. The objective of this paper is to study the perception of productivity in the work environment and the thermal comfort of users of office buildings in the city of Florianópolis-SC. The study used data previously collected in the field and the statistical analyses considered the thermal environmental conditions and the subjective answers of the users obtained through the application of an electronic questionnaire. The building analyzed operated with hybrid ventilation, alternating between the use of airconditioning and natural ventilation. The results obtained indicated similar productivity in both modes of operation, which demonstrates that it is not necessary to use air-conditioning all year round to promote thermal comfort and increase user productivity. Moreover, the results also indicated a difference between genders regarding the perception of productivity.
