Abstract
The article formulates the wave equation in regions with induced currents in the case of scattering by a perfect conductor. By using this formulation the ordinary solution using the dyadic Green's function for the problem is discussed. The region of validity of this solution is pointed out. A claimed need for conventions is alleviated by referring to Gauss's law
