The aim of the project is to make a proposal for how to value a
storage tank with a poor design of the cold water inlet. Based on
measurements and calculations a number of curves, which are valid
for this valuation, are worked out. Based on a simple test with a
uniform heated storage tank the ratio between the energy tapped in
one storage volume and the energy content in the tank before the
tapping is measured. Afterwards the mixing factor, corresponding
to the measured ratio, can be determined. It is proposed that the
mixing factor is taken into consideration when the governmental
subsidy for SDHW systems is calculated.
