Abstract

Thyroid hormone (TH) system-disrupting chemicals can induce developmental hypothyroidism and disrupt TH-dependent brain development. Here we investigated the effects of thyroperoxidase (TPO)-inhibiting compounds methimazole (MMI, medical drug) and amitrole (herbicide) on the developing brain.
