Abstract

This report presents the result of the lidar calibration for two special test cases performed by two four-beam given nacelle lidar, one used for the sunglass test and the other one used for the long range test, at DTU’s test site for large wind turbines in Denmark. Calibration is here understood as the establishment of a relation between the reference wind speed measurements with measurement uncertainties, provided by measurement standards, and corresponding lidar line-of sight (LOS) wind speed indications, with associated measurement uncertainties only for the long range test. The lidar calibration concerns the 10 minute mean LOS wind speed measurements.
