Calibration of Nacelle-based Lidar instrument

Research output: Book/ReportReportResearch

Abstract

This report presents the result of the lidar calibration performed for a four-beam nacelle based lidar at DTU’s test site for large wind turbines at Høvsøre, Denmark. Calibration is here understood as the establishment of a relation between the reference wind speed measurements with measurement uncertainties, provided by measurement standards, and corresponding lidar line-of-sight (LOS) wind speed indications, with associated measurement uncertainties. The lidar calibration concerns the 10 minute mean LOS wind speed measurements.
