    Abstract

A new Bose operator expansion is discussed for tensor operators in the spin systems with isotropic exchange interaction plus anisotropy. Spin wave theory for a system with planar anisotropy shows that the Goldstone theorem is fulfilled. The new expansion replaces the off diagonal single ion anisotropy by an effective anisotropic two-ion interaction.
