Abstract
In this study, vibration characteristics of a radar antenna structure is optimized using a topological optimization approach. The objective of the optimization effort is the minimization of the adverse affects of structural vibrations on the functional performance of the radar antenna. Based on the optimization results, the structural design of the radar antenna structure is modified such that the critical natural frequencies of the structure are minimized.
