Abstract
In the current energy plan, focus in placed on further savings of
heat in buildings. If the target of the energy plan should be
achieved, there is a need for saving heat both in new and existing
buildings. The article investigate and compare the properties of
several systems for external insulation of buildings. The thermal
performance of the systems is compared to an ideal situation,
showing that there is still a potential of further savings by
improving the design of the insulation systems. To improve the
thermal performance of the systems a number of product
developments are proposed.
