Abstract

We present an all-optical label processor based on self-polarization rotation in a semiconductor optical amplifier. The operation principle is experimentally demonstrated. The results show a label-and-payload-suppression ratio higher than 20 dB and clear synchronization pulses for further processing. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
